Agility Classes


Foundation I, II, III and IV Agility

beginner 1-4

These classes are intended to give your dog a firm and confident foundation for the skills needed in a successful agility career.

Learning to love learning is an absolute. Focus and enthusiasm, steady stays, sticky tables, rear end awareness, targeting, introduction to the agility equipment, and much more.

Agility Foundations is for dogs at least 8 months old who have basic obedience manners. Dogs cannot be dog or people aggressive.

Duration: 1 hr/week for 8 weeks.
Cost: $135 for 8 weeks.

Intermediate Agility

This class brings foundation skills together so that you and your dog can navigate short agility courses and sharpen your skills on the individual pieces of equipment.

Duration: 8-week sessions, 1 hr/week.
Pre-requisite: Foundation IV Agility or instructor permission

Novice

These classes are geared toward preparing you and your dog for competition (although competition is not required). These classes offers additional handling techniques, methods of proofing your dog's performance, and more advanced courses to increase your dog's confidence and skill.

Duration: 8-week sessions, 1 hr/week.
Pre-requisite: Intermediate Agility or instructor permission

Open

These classes are geared towards dogs and handlers at the Novice and Open competition level.                                                                                                         

Duration: 8-week sessions, 1 hr/week.

Excellent/Elite/Masters

These classes are geared toward dogs and handlers at the Excellent and Elite levels of competition.                                                                                                         

Duration: 8-week sessions, 1 hr/week.

Distance Agility

This class will allow for practice on distance challenges common to ASCA, NADAC, CPE, USDAA, and AKC, with observation and instruction. The three main skills: distance (forward and lateral), direction (turns), and discrimination, will be covered. Dogs need to be proficient on all obstacles.
